Leading When You Find Yourself In Limbo
Leading when you are in limbo does not mean you have to be 100% certain; it is having the courage to act during the most uncertain times.
Seeing Yourself in a Different Light.
In 1987 at the start of my final year of school, my parents moved interstate and the two schools systems didn’t align. So, I either had to repeat a year (even though I hadn’t failed), or leave school. I made the decision to leave and started my adult life as a high-school dropout.
The REAL reason we are struggling to make the call… Stay open or close??
When we keep practicing (behaviour) and yet we know that touching someone is proven to increase the risk of Covid-19 spread (cognition), we are in a state of cognitive dissonance.
If we stop practicing (behaviour), which we know will drastically affect our income or remove a valuable service to the community (cognition), we are in a state of cognitive dissonance.
COVID-19 Finding gratitude uncertain times.
Let this virus be our philosophical re-calibration.

I came into Osteo a firm believer that manipulation was what was needed to ‘correct’ what was wrong. That’s because of how my Osteo indoctrinated me. The more I studied research, though, the more this idea started to fall apart … and I’m talking 1995-1996 here.
Finding Hope
While hope is an undoubtedly personal experience and one that can be challenging to define, the value and positive impact hope can have on human life is widely recognised and difficult to ignore.

How are you feeling… Really?
Whilst we are courageous, we are also human. Cracks will appear at some stage. I am determined to beat this and come out better on the other side. I am constantly looking for new innovations and embracing any opportunities that present. I am staying strong and keeping my head up; relentless in my approach for my team and the people I love. But I’m not going to lie, it finally got to me yesterday.

Is there anything more elusive in modern society than work-life balance? Striving for balance seems to be a struggle that many of us are ‘losing’ more often than we’re ‘winning.’ In fact, government reports reveal that perceived work-life balance is the number one item that allied health practitioners weigh-up when choosing an employer. However, as Time magazine puts it, “Work-life balance is a strange aspiration for a fulfilling life.”
Five tips to attract and retain new clients in private practice
As an allied health professional working in private practice, you’ve worked hard to hone your clinical skills. You’re brilliant at treating patients, and understand how to diagnose and address their concerns. You genuinely care about patient outcomes, and you’re passionate about helping others. So why isn’t your hard work translating to financial success?
Five reasons why empathy is an essential leadership skill
In decades gone by, empathy was viewed as a weakness. Climbing the clinic ladder often meant doing so with little regard for the experiences of others. Today, however, empathetic leaders are sought-after and admired. In fact, recent studies have found that empathy is the one interpersonal skill that continually outshines all others. Empathy creates more engaged, decisive and effective leaders. Clinics that value empathy also demonstrate higher levels of commitment and cooperation among team members.
